Parliament paid emotional tributes after the assassination of the late Sir David Ames on Friday afternoon.
A former western parliamentarian from the southern electorate has been killed in a sharp gun attack during an operation in the electorate. This incident is considered as an act of terrorism.
Boris Johnson described Sir David as “the most beautiful, kind and gentle person these benches have ever given.”
A close friend, Mark Francois, told the congregation that Sir David was “the best victim I have ever known.”
