At a time when the dollar is heading for new highs and costing many more, US-based Netflix has reduced the monthly subscription fee for its Pakistani customers by Rs 400 on its ‘standard and premium’ plans. The new subscription fee was notified to its users via email on Thursday.

With the price change, the standard plan now costs 800 rupees, less than a third, and the premium plan is now available for 1,100 rupees. These plans cost Rs. 1,200 and Rs. 1,500 respectively.

“This price applies to new members and will be effective for all existing members,” the company said on its website.

“Current members will receive an email on October 14, 2021 and the new price will take effect on their next billing date.”
