Apple unveiled the new MacBook Pro models at its ‘undisclosed’ event on Monday, all based on the new M1 Pro and M1 Max silicon. The much-anticipated MacBook Pro Series offers 14-inch and 16-inch display options, making it the biggest update in five years since the current design was introduced in October 2016. The new Apple Silicon that powers the MacBook Pro (2021) is said to deliver 3.7 times faster performance than Intel’s Core i7 on the current 13-inch MacBook Pro. The new M1 Pro and M1 Max Cupertino come as upgrades to the M1 chip introduced last year.

Apple MacBook Pro (2021) Price, Available in India

The 14-inch Apple MacBook Pro (2021) starts at Rs. 1,94,900. It also spends Rs. 1,75,410. On the other hand, the 16-inch Apple MacBook Pro (2021) model starts at Rs. 2,39,900 for the average customer and Rs. 2,15,910 for education. The 14-inch Apple MacBook Pro (2021) in the US starts at $ 1,999 (approximately Rs. 1,50,400) and the 16-inch version is priced at $ 2,499 (approximately Rs. 1,88,100).

The new MacBook Pro models will be available for order from Monday Apple India Online Store Available for sale Tuesday, October 26th. Customers also have configuration ordering options through the Apple website.

In 2019, Apple launched its last-generation MacBook Pro 16-inch model at a starting price of Rs. 1,99,000 (US $ 2,399). The new 14-inch model, on the other hand, comes as a replacement for the top 13-inch MacBook Pro launched with the M1 chip last year.

Apple MacBook Pro (2021) Specifications

The 14-inch and 16-inch Apple MacBook Pro (2021) models have the latest design, which removes the unimportant touch bar and brings an SDXC card as well as an HDMI port. The other major difference in the design front is that with the offering of a 1080p FaceTime webcam, the locks can be lowered and users can be given more screen real estate. However, Apple has not provided a face ID, which differs from the higher-end iPhone models in terms of face recognition technology.

Apple claims that the 14-inch MacBook Pro will have 14.2 inches of active area, a total of 5.9 million pixels, and the 16-inch 16.2-inch and 7.7 million pixels. The iPad Pro also has a liquid Retina XDR display under the hood that uses the previously available small LED technology. The new display technology is said to offer full screen brightness up to 1,000 knots, maximum brightness 1600 knots and a 1,000,000: 1 difference ratio. It also has an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz using Apple’s proprietary promotion technology.

For power users, the new MacBook Pro model is said to have P3 wide color range, HDR support and XDR output.

With design-level changes and enhanced display technology, the MacBook Pro (2021) series is powered by enhanced silicon, with two different versions, the E-M1 Pro and the M1 Max. The M1 Pro chip includes eight high-performance mid-eight up to 10-core CPU and two low-performance cores and up to 16-core GPU. Apple claims that the new chip will deliver 70 percent more CPU performance and twice as much GPU performance as the current M1 chip. The M1 Pro also includes a media engine Process Accelerator to enhance the video processing of the device.

On the other hand, the M1 Max is considered to be the most powerful chip in the world for pro notebooks. It has a 10-core CPU similar to that of the M1 Pro, but doubles the GPU to 32 hp for GPU performance 4 times faster than the MP3. Memory width is up to 400GB per second, which is twice as large as the M1 Pro and six times as large as the M1. Apple has offered up to 64GB of integrated memory to attract professionals and 3D artists.

To remember, last year’s M1 chip included four high-performance and four low-performance cores, as well as up to eight graphics cores.

Apple claims that the new M1 Max chip can be used to edit up to 4 Pro videos up to 30 or up to 7 Final Cut Pro 8K Pro videos – more streaming than the 28-core Mac Pro with a rear burner.

Both the M1 Pro and M1 are paired with a 16-core neural engine that helps improve machine learning capabilities in the new MacBook Pro models. According to some publicly shared figures, the built-in neural engine delivers 8.7 times faster object tracking performance than the Final Cut Pro with the M1 Pro and 11.5 times faster with the M1 Max. Adobe Photoshop also has up to 2.6 times faster activation when selecting image subjects.

The MacBook Pro (2021) models come with a magic keyboard that replaces the previous touch bar with a physical activation key and an extensive escape key. You also get the Force Touch trackpad.

Apple has given the box out of its new MacBook Monroe Pro models. The company says the new operating system has been optimized for the M1 Pro and M1 Max chips. The new MacOS version will also be available for older machines as a free software update on Monday, October 25th.

The MacBook Pro (2021) models also bring with them the MagSefe Magnetic Charging Support previously provided. Unlike current MacBook Pro models, it charges via USB-C. However, users can still use Thunderbolt 4 to charge using a USB Type-C cable.

Connectivity options in the new MacBook Pro include Bluetooth V5.0 and Wi-Fi 6. Users can connect up to three PRO display XDRs and a 4K TV simultaneously with the M1 Max-based MacBook Pro. The M1 Pro chip, on the other hand, supports up to two Pro display XDRs simultaneously.

The new MacBook Pro models also feature a six-speaker sound system with two TVs and four forcibly canceled woofers. There are also Dolby Atmos and spatial audio supports for an ambient sound experience while on the go.

Since the MacBook Pro (2021) models are designed for faster performance, Apple has provided better thermal management for newer machines. The company says it has an advanced heating system that can carry 50 percent more air than the previous generation, even at low fan speeds.

In terms of battery life, the 14-inch MacBook Pro (2021) can play back up to 17 hours on a single charge, while its 16-inch assistant offers up to 21 hours of video playback. Apple claims that developers working with Xcode can code up to four times as much using the new MacBook Pro models, and that photographers get twice the battery life when editing photos in Adobe Lightroom Classic.
